LifeSource® Bits contain a precise blend of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants selected by holistic veterinarians and animal nutritionists. These include ingredients that have been shown to:

- Help support his specific life stage requirements
Importantly, BLUE LifeSource Bits are "cold-formed" separately from the rest of our kibble to help preserve the potency of the ingredients. Other brands that add antioxidants, vitamins and minerals process all of their ingredients together at temperatures as high as 350°. Heat can degrade the potency of some vitamins by as much as 75%.
 I have a 7-year old Great Dane, Barney, that loves Blue Buffalo! He has eaten another brand for a long time because I THOUGHT it was good stuff. After I started working at a health food store and paying much more attention to good ingredients though, I knew I needed to change his diet. I was standing at PetSmart forever trying to pick a new food out! I was getting so frustrated by the ingredients in all of them! I was about to give up when I saw a small display of Blue Buffalo. I was so excited to see the ingredients, they seem so perfect! He seems to like it a lot better than his old food and I feel so much better because I feel like he is getting the best dog food!
